Privacy Policy

The Solana blockchain is a public ledger. Every market you open, every bet you place, every vote and claim is a transaction signed by your wallet, recorded permanently, and readable by anyone. The Site reads that data and displays it; it did not create it and cannot delete it. This applies equally to anyone using the Protocol from any other software.

The Site shows a short name for each wallet, derived from the address itself. A wallet may choose a display name and a profile picture; both are stored by us, signed by that wallet, and can be removed by it at any time.

Off-chain content you choose to post. Comments, replies, likes, follows and the images you attach to a market are stored in our database rather than on chain, to save you the cost of writing them there. Each is stored together with the wallet address that signed it, the time, and the market it belongs to. Comments and images are visible to everyone; who follows whom is shown as counts. We keep them for as long as the Site runs, or until removed under clause 6.

Signatures. To post any of the above, your wallet signs a short message. We verify the signature and keep a one-time code from it so the same signature cannot be replayed. The signature proves the address is yours; it is not a transaction and moves no funds.

Network data. When your browser talks to our servers we receive your IP address and standard request headers, as every website does. We use the IP address in memory to limit how often one source can post or upload, and hosting providers keep ordinary server logs for a short period for security and debugging. We do not build a record of which wallet used which IP address.

On your device. The Site uses your browser’s local storage to remember your saved markets and which wallet you last connected. That stays on your device and is not sent to us. The one cookie we set is a session cookie that lets a wallet comment, like and follow for 24 hours after signing in with it; it holds no tracking identifier. We run no third-party advertising or analytics scripts.

• Your private keys or recovery phrase. Signing happens inside your wallet; the Site only ever receives the signed result.
• Your name, e-mail address, phone number, date of birth or identity documents. The Site does not ask for them.
• Custody of your funds. They are held by the on-chain program, not by us.

The Site is built from services that each receive some of the above in order to work:

• The hosting provider that serves the Site and runs its API, which sees IP addresses and request logs.
• The database provider that stores off-chain content, and the object-storage provider that holds uploaded images.
• The Solana RPC provider your browser uses to read the chain and send transactions, which sees your IP address and the transactions you send.
• Your wallet software and, if you connect through it, WalletConnect, which relays messages between the Site and your wallet.
• The swap aggregator, if you choose to pay in SOL: it receives your wallet address and the amount in order to build the swap.

Each of these has its own privacy policy. We do not sell data to anyone, and we share it only with providers needed to run the Site, or where the law requires us to.

Where data-protection law such as the GDPR applies, we process the data above because it is necessary to provide the Site you asked for (contract), to keep it secure and free of abuse (legitimate interest), and, for content you post, because you chose to post it. Our providers may store data outside your country; where they do, they are bound by standard contractual safeguards.

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase personal data we hold, to object to its processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Write to contact@gopredict.app from a channel that lets us verify you control the wallet in question.

What we can remove: comments, likes, follows and uploaded images — anything held in our database.

What nobody can remove: anything written to the blockchain. Market titles, resolution criteria, bets and votes are permanent by the nature of the technology. This is a property of Solana, not a choice of ours, and we cannot make an exception.

Content changes are accepted only with a valid signature from the wallet they claim to be from. Uploaded images are checked on the server and re-encoded before they are stored. Secrets that let the server write to storage or the database are never sent to the browser. No system is perfectly secure, and the Site’s Terms of Service describe the risks you accept.

The Site is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age; if you believe we have, contact us and we will remove what we can.

When this policy changes we publish the new version here with a new effective date. Material changes will be flagged on the Site.
